A broken link checker that doesn't cry wolf

Three states, not two

A 403 means the site refused to answer us. It does not mean the page is gone.

When a site returns 403, LinkVeri sends one extra request to a deliberately non-existent path on the same domain. If that returns 404, the site does let checkers through — so the original 403 is a real permission restriction and the page exists. If that's blocked too, we simply cannot know, and we won't pretend otherwise.

It looks where others don't

Links hide in places most checkers never open

• Page builder content. Elementor stores content as JSON in post meta, headers and footers included. On one real site, 26% of all links existed only there.
• Navigation menus. A dead link in your menu appears on every single page. The most popular checker skips menus entirely.
• Widgets. Footer social and partner links. No major competitor scans these at all.
• Comments. Both links in the text and the commenter's website field — approved comments only, so spam doesn't drown the results.
• Custom fields, ACF, and category descriptions.

It won't slow your site down

A few links every few minutes, forever

• No bursts. When a visitor is browsing, it drops to the smallest batch to stay out of the way.
• Internal links never leave your server. They're resolved from the database directly — that's about 93% of all requests gone, and your PHP processes stay free for real visitors.
• Need results now? One click scans everything, with live progress. It runs only while that page is open and stops the moment you close it.

Fixing is safe

Because a checker that breaks your content is worse than no checker

• Originals are backed up first — to our own table, not WordPress revisions. Plenty of sites have revisions disabled.
• Every fix is one undoable batch.
• Replacements are exact. A plugin doing a plain string replace of https://example.com will silently rewrite https://example.com/about too. We match the full attribute value, so that can't happen.
