Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 September 2026

The short version

The free LinkVeri plugin does not send your site's data anywhere. It runs entirely on your own server. We do not receive, store, or have access to your content, your links, or your visitors' information.

What the plugin does on your server

LinkVeri reads your posts, pages, page-builder data, navigation menus, widgets, approved comments, custom fields and term descriptions in order to find links. All of this stays in your own WordPress database, in tables the plugin creates (lv_links and lv_backups). Nothing is transmitted to us.

Requests to third-party websites

To determine whether an external link works, the plugin sends an HTTP request to that link's destination. This is the plugin's core function and cannot be avoided. Those requests:

Links pointing to your own site are resolved from your database and generate no network request at all.

Licensing and payments (Pro only)

If you purchase a Pro licence, payment and licence management are handled by Freemius, Inc., which acts as the merchant of record. They collect the information required to process the transaction — name, email, billing address and payment details — under their own privacy policy at freemius.com/privacy. We receive only your email address and licence status; we never see your payment details.

The Pro plugin communicates with Freemius to verify your licence and to deliver updates. This exchange includes your site URL, licence key, plugin version and WordPress version. It happens only if you activate a Pro licence.

Optional diagnostic data

The plugin asks nothing of you by default and enables no tracking. If a future version offers to share anonymous diagnostic data, it will be off unless you explicitly turn it on.

This website

linkveri.com serves static pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider may record IP addresses and requested URLs for operational and security purposes.

If you email us

We keep the correspondence so we can help you, and we do not use your address for anything else. Ask us to delete it and we will.

Your rights

Because we hold almost nothing about you, most requests are simple to satisfy. Write to [email protected] to ask what we hold, to correct it, or to have it deleted. For purchase records held by Freemius as merchant of record, contact them directly or ask us and we will pass it on.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and note the change on this page.
